Search the Window Event Logs for indications of trouble, and take any action necessary to correct it.
You can force an immediate restart, or give the users an option to delay.
To configure restart options on client computers: Note: Some restart options apply only to Windows clients. Test the Auto Upgrade process before you attempt to upgrade a large number of clients in your production network.
For all other locations, make sure you use the SEP Manager to distribute product software and content updates.
The SEP manager updates are incremental, and smaller than the ones downloaded from the Live Update server.

In addition to using Auto Upgrade, you can also use other methods to upgrade Symantec Endpoint Protection client software.
If the database server is out of space or if the table used to store definitions has reached its quota, there will likely be error messages in the Windows Event Logs.
